In the Semester 1 and 2 of 2009/2010, I need to prepare my Final Year Project (FYP). The topic of my FYP is UMS MPP Online Voting System. It is a web based system which developed to all UMS students. Throughout this system, they can register as a voter so that they can vote the candidates which they like. After that, the system will provide the candidates of UMS and also the candidates of school according to the school which voter from. Every student just can vote one time only during the student representation ceremony day. The admin will set the operation time of voting in the system. For example, the time of voting is starting on 8a.m and finish at 6p.m, the system will close after 6p.m and students are not allowed to vote. At that time, the result will calculate and students can check the result by online checking or sms checking.

The objective of this project is to enable the UMS residents and non-residents vote the candidates of UMS throughout the internet, prevent voters to vote many times when manual voting and increase the percentage of voting from students.

Finally, I hoped that I can develope the system with my knowledge which I learned in UMS so that I can integrate my project to UMS system.
